Vikings believed in honor and loyalty to their community. Their loyalty was demonstrated through fierce fighting, sharing resources, and protecting their kin. Unlike the Samurai, Vikings did not have a formal code like Bushido, but their cultural values heavily emphasized loyalty and bravery.
Comparing Loyalty in Both Cultures
Despite differences in culture and warfare, loyalty was a fundamental aspect of both the Samurai and Viking warrior codes. For the Samurai, loyalty was tied to a sense of duty to their lord and society. For the Vikings, loyalty was rooted in kinship and community bonds.
